Anorexia and Bulimia Recovery Success Stories

Interviews with Women Who Overcame Bulimia and Anorexia

Anorexia and Bulimia Recovery Stories - Audio RecordingsThese anorexia and bulimia recovery success stories were recorded over the period of a few weeks in October 2012 (except for Susan’s recorded in late 2017).  The women you’ll meet here lived the up-and-down roller coaster life with eating disorders dominating their every day for years. Some have had recovery for a few weeks, some a year, some several years.  Each one is beautiful and brilliant.  I hope you’ll enjoy listening to them as much as I did recording them for you.

  1. My name is Courtney Scott. I am 15 years old. 12 months ago i was diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Anorexia Nervosa. An eating disorder. I began exercising which lead to dieting..then starvation. To eating nothing a day. When the person in the mirror became bigger as my weight dramatically increased. March 5th will be the day I will never forget. The day I was admitted to John hunter hospital for 5 weeks. Heart beat was 30 beats per minute, low blood pressure, temperature was hyperthermic. I was completely compromised. One year and I am still fighting and refuse to give up! The fight for my life! Second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, year by year. That is how I will overcome.

Please watch my video. It would mean the world to me. Please share it and show everyone. I would like to help other girls and try to increase funding because it has severely decreased which I find is appalling.

Please watch and share this video. Thank-you. You have been an inspiration to me. PLEASE SHARE!! It would mean the world to me, and reply to the is email. Thank you so much.

    1. Hi Courtney,

You are a strong and brave woman – and such a young lady at 15 yrs.

Kudos to you for being a stand for your life. You ARE worth it, my dear.

Be strong. Be bold. Be out of control in love with yourself and your life.

That’s my inspiration for beating bulimia in 2005. I will hold you in my heart and can’t wait to hear your success story soon. The fight is over…if you’re ready to let it go and move on with your life as a whole, healthy woman.

It’s yours to choose. Choose life. Choose joy.

      Be well,
